Premier League giants Manchester United are preparing an offer to hijack Manchester City’s move for superstar winger Kevin De Bruyne, German publication Sport1 has now reported. Manager Louis van Gaal is in need of adding more attacking options to his current squad and is looking to add the Belgian international to his squad.
It was being stated that a bid of around £55m could be made by the Red Devils, to snatch him from the hands of their domestic rivals Manchester City. The former Chelsea star was being linked strongly with a move to the Etihad in recent weeks and though Manuel Pellegrini still remain firm favourites to sign him, Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich and United are also planning to try their luck to strike a deal.
The attacker’s future remains uncertain as the final week of the summer window begins and with both clubs desperate to strengthen their squad, it would be interesting to see which club he eventually joins.
