It seems that former Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor was offered to their fierce rivals Manchester United, as manager Louis van Gaal looked to strengthen his squad. The center forward was on the verge of completing a loan move to West Ham, though he was still keeping his options open, ahead of Tuesday’s transfer deadline.
Further, it seems that the Togo international was keen on knowing whether the Red Devils were interested in acquiring his services, before he made his mind up on his next move.
The Dutch manager’s side has struggled to score in the Premier League this season and with the transfer window drawing to a close, there were several ridiculus rumours involving the Red Devils and certainly this tops the list.
Apart from the Hammers, Aston Villa were also interested in acquiring his services, though nothing was materialized and his future at White Hart Lane is also in shambles.
One thing is certain though, that he has no future with Tottenham under Mauricio Pochettino, after clearly being told so and it will be interesting to see which club he moves on to in the future.
