Shocking! Chelsea Ready To Prepare An Another Bid For This Greek Defender

Antonio Conte’s move to Chelsea has linked many players with a potential move to the Stamford Bridge, as the Italian has requested certain players to be brought into the Blues. Conte’s target list includes a certain Kostas Manolas.

Manolas is a Greek player who currently plays for Serie A side AS Roma. The player’s contract with Roma will run till 2019, however, Chelsea may offer certain added benefits which may lure him to the Stamford Bridge.

On the other hand, reports suggest that the player’s agents met with Roma’s sporting director Walter Sabbatini with respect to making a few changes in the player’s contract so as to let the player stay put at Roma. This basically includes a proposal to increase the wages to £23,000-a-week and lengthening the terms of his current contract, but one still wonders if these changes are enough to ward off interest from the Blues.

Chelsea already has had a bid of £26 million rejected by Roma for the centre-back, but they will still try to bring the player in as they consider him to be an apt replacement for John Terry.
