Chelsea’s incoming boss Antonio Conte wants Stephan Lichtsteiner from Juventus, as his first signing this summer. Conte is looking to bring in a host of players into the Stamford Bridge this summer, with defensive reinforcements top priority.
According to the reports from the Sun, Conte is looking out for the £12million-rated Juventus defender. Further the reports suggest that Chelsea have already offered the player a three year contract and has also assured him of first-team football.
The Italian manager has earlier worked with the Swiss International during his time at Juventus and seems like the pair may get a chance of a reunion at the Stamford Bridge.
The 32 year old player has had 81 international caps for Switzerland and will be featuring for the country in Euro 2016, with their campaign starting off against Albania this Saturday.
While the player’s contract at the Old Lady will be running till 2017, reports suggest that Juve boss Max Allegri would let him go as Dani Alves is set to join from Barcelona.
