Arsenal is said to have beaten United and Chelsea on securing the services of the 16-year-old Domingos Quina. The Portuguese teenager has been attracting interests from top European clubs including Chelsea, United, and Arsenal till date.
The player joined Chelsea from Benfica at the age of 13 but as such he has not committed to Chelsea, while we do not know much about the player, according to the Telegraph he has managed to impress all in Portugal’s under 17 games.
As such according to reports Arsenal has rated the player at a much higher scale to go after him and gain his services. The introduction of Alex Iwobi in the games against Barcelona and Everton gives an impression that Wenger gives importance to quality rather than age, this may have worked as the deciding factor on the player’s side. And hence served as an assurance for the 16-year-old that his age will not determine his chances of featuring in the first team on the regular basis.
