As per recent claims, agent of Gilberto spoke to club website Firenze Viola about the Brazilian, his career till now and where he thinks his future lies. The 22-year-old right-back is trying his best to impress with Serie A side Fiorentina if he wants to push his career forward. The young superstar moved to Florence this summer and will try his best to impress with the club.
The youngster is quite versatile to play both in defence, as well as midfield though his agent feels he has a bright future as a winger. Gilberto has represented Brazil at various youth levels and when he left for Europe from Botafogo in Rio, a long list of big clubs were interested in acquiring his services.
Angelo Arquilla spoke to Firenze Viola and stated, “Fiorentina tracked him for a year, as they also did at Napoli, Chelsea, Flamengo and Cruzeiro. And he chose Italy and especially Florence, conscious that here he could he grow tactically and technically.”
