Liverpool Transfer News
According to former Liverpool player Phil Thompson, the Merseyside is looking to let go of Daniel Sturridge.
Sturridge has been present for 60 league games for the Reds. He has had an excellent scoring record in the Merseyside, but his inability to stay fit has made manager Jurgen Klopp rethink the player’s place amongst the Reds.
According to Thompson, Liverpool is attracted to the prospect of selling the 26-year-old and using the fund elsewhere. The player’s dwindling fitness state has put Liverpool’s game strategies into extreme uncertainty.
Liverpool is currently trying to figure out the value the player brings into the club and the game. His injury situation has led to Klopp doubt his ability to be in the team and his contribution to the game.
If the former legend’s claim is to be considered, it seems like Sturridge too has numbered days left in the Anfield.
