Liverpool are on the verge of beating Manchester United and others big clubs in the race to sign Brazilian international Firmino. News from his his native country claimed that the Reds are now the favourites to sign the Hoffenheim player and closing in on agreeing terms for a deal. However, it is not clear whether the agreement has been made with the player or the Bundesliga outfit.
Both Liverpool and Manchester United have been linked with Firmino for quite some time now, as they look to add more quality to their squad. Firmino’s fame has been rising constantly after a good spell at Hoffenheim and that has attracted interest from various other clubs.
The player has also made nine appearances for the Brazilian national side scoring 4 goals, attracting a wider audience.The 23-year-old superstar scored 7 Bundesliga goals last season and further claimed 10 assists to his name. He is being considered as the perfect replacement for England international Raheem Sterling, who is set to depart this summer.
