We know that Chelsea currently is left with two key strikers for the remaining part of the season, one of them being Alexandre Pato and the other Diego Costa.
Reports suggest that Chelsea cannot be sure of having both the players play in the next season for the Blues.
While Pato is at Stamford Bridge on a loan deal till the end of this season, Costa already has Atletico Madrid chasing after him.
Atletico Madrid recently sold Jackson Martinez to Guangzhau Evergrande at 42 million Euros and according to Athletico president Enrique Cerezo Martinez was sold as he was not able to adapt to the 3 pronged attack formations that Athletico follow. Cerezo further made it open that the club is desperate to sign Costa in the summer.
Costa’s contract at Chelsea ends in 2019 and looking at the way Athletico is chasing after the player, Chelsea may well be prepared to lose a striker however they are in advantage here when it comes to the release clause that Athletico will have to pay for the same.
