SHOCK! Arsenal Plotting A Shock Move For This Manchester United Playmaker

While the winter transfer window has been closed the managers of various clubs are looking to again cover the pitches that may be left empty if the current players decide to leave the club.

According to The Mirror, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has now set his eyes upon Manchester United’s midfielder Michael Carrick for the summer transfer move. The Gunners manager has been a long term admirer of Carrick and had tried to gain the signature of the player in 2004 when he was leaving West Ham, also when he joined United in 2006 and further when the England international was to sign the extension contract with Manchester United last year.

With Mathieu Flamini, Mikel Areta and Thomas Rosicky set to leave the Emirates in June, Arsene Wenger will need to add at least one midfielder into his squad.

Carrick’s contract with Manchester United is set to expire at the end of this season in June, however question remains if Manchester United will let the player move away from the Old Trafford.
