Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United have found some decent form in the last few games and will be hoping to start their ascent to the top of the table moving into the business end of the campaign. Their Premier League journey resumes tonight as they take on Marco Silva’s Hull City side, for the third time already after the turn of the year.

The teams won a game each but Manchester United managed to move into the final of the League Cup on aggregate and they will hope to get all three points from this fixture at the Old Trafford. Marco Silva’s side have been playing some decent football recently and will surely make it hard for the Red Devils to run away with a victory and here is the predicted lineup that Mourinho might field in search of a all three points in this game:

Team News:

The latest team news for the club is the unfortunate injury of defender Eric Bailly during an U23 game for the club. He is set to miss this game and will remain the only injury concern for Jose Mourinho.

Expected lineup (4-2-3-1):

David de Gea:

The Spaniard is the first choice shot-stopper for United this season and he should keep his place in the side for this clash.

Antonio Valencia:

The Ecuador international has been superb on the right-flank for Manchester United and Mourinho should stick with him this week.

Phil Jones:

The 24-year old has settled into the position for the club this season and he should start as a center back against Hull City.

Marcos Rojo:

The Argentine has done surprisingly well as a center back for the Red Devils and he should partner Rojo on the night.

Luke Shaw:

With Matteo Darmian out of the picture, Mourinho should go back to the young Englishman who can turn into a top class player for the club.

Ander Herrera:

The Spaniard has been the most consistent midfielder for Mourinho this season and should start this game against the Tigers.

Michael Carrick:

The veteran midfielder has not been extra-ordinary but has provided the required mettle in the midfield that has allowed players around him thrive and Mourinho should stick with him for this tie.

Paul Pogba:

The French international has not been at his best in recent games, but he is expected to be the danger man for Marco Silva’s side on the night.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan:

The Armenian winger has blown hot and cold in the last few games and Mourinho will hope that he can put in a better performance in this game.

Marcus Rashford:

The 19-year old is slowly getting back his form and the manager should give him a start for Hull’s trip to the Old Trafford.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic:

The Swede is the first choice striker for United this season and he will hope to add to his tally this week against the Tigers.
