Serie A Team Of The Week – Pirlo, Cuadrado And Insigne Lead The Way

GK – Antonio Mirante (Parma): The 0-4 score line may indicate it was a one way game for Parma, but Mirante had a great deal in keeping the clean sheet nonetheless with his heroics early in the game , especially against Moralez.

Defender – Nicolas Spolli (Catania): An excellent game for the giant defender. Managed to mark Klose tightly all game long, helping his team to a valuable & much needed three points against Lazio.

Defender – Emerson (Livorno): The Brazilian captain helped a 9 men Livorno conquer Saint Elia & come away with the three points with a goal, and above all, a very solid display in the defense.

Defender – Cristian Molinaro (Parma): What a comeback he had to the Serie A! Owned the left flank all game long & topped his performance with a goal to help Parma thrash Atalanta in Bergamo.

Defender – Yuto Nagatomo (Inter): The Japanese was a power house on the flank and always pushed forward, providing an assist to Icardi & contributing in the first goal as well.

Midfielder – Andrea Pirlo (Juventus): The Maestro had a fine game this Sunday against Chievo, bossed the midfield with his calmness and pinpoint balls to help Juve secure the win.

Midfielder – Omar El Kaddouri (Torino): A great game by the Napoli owned trequartista, two assists & a goal to help Torino continue their impressive run this season so far.

Midfielder – Juan Cuadrado (Fiorentina): Had a quiet first half, but literally exploded in the 2nd, gave all sort of trouble to the Inter defense and his pace and vast array of tricks had no answer from the Nerazzurri’s men. Didn’t deserve to be on the losing team.

Striker – Mattia Destro (Roma): No Totti, no problem! As Destro once again proved he’s worthy of that starting spot in the Giallorossi with a well taken double.

Striker – Lorenzo Insigne (Napoli): Scored a wonderful goal and was his team’s man of the match in the Mapei stadium, bringing them one step closer to secure that 3rd place.

Striker – Alberto Gilardino (Genoa): A great show of experience and striker instinct by the veteran striker to help Genoa to a 3-3 comeback against Udinese. He’s definitely still got the scoring touch!

Honorable mentions: Alessio Cerci (Torino), Ricardo Montolivo (Milan), Rodrigo Palacio (Inter), Antonio Cassano (Parma), Gino Peruzzi (Catania) & Miralem Pjanic (Roma).
