Vincenzo Fiorillo (Sampdoria): A rare start for the reserve keeper, but he put an exciting display with his acrobatic saves and reflexes. Didn’t deserve to be on the losing team.
Rolando (Inter): Dealt well with Cassano & the Parma attack & was a force in the air both defensively & offensively, scoring with a well-directed & powerful header.
Davide Astori (Cagliari): Leader in the defense, as he helped his team survive the “Marassi” and secure safety.
Leandro Castan (AS Roma): Lacking the support of Ben Atia, the Brazilian didn’t fail to impress, always first to arrive in duels and winning all his challenges with the Viola attackers. Stellar performance.
Paul Pogba (Juventus): Put a strong performance which he crowned with a trademark long range goal that took the “Bianconerri” one step closer to the Scudetto.
Antonio Candreva (Lazio): When on his day, he’s unstoppable, scored a brace, the 2nd in the dying minutes to keep Lazio’s hopes alive for European football next year.
Radja Nainggolan (AS Roma): Powerful display by the Belgium international, pushed forward well, leading to the game’s winner, and never gave a breather for the Viola midfield.
Adel Taarabt (AC Milan): Creative and always troubled Livorno with his dribbling, his goal is the clear example on this.
Bruno Fernandes (Udinese): The young Portuguese impressed with a beautiful curler goal and a strong performance to earn the “Zibrette” a draw against Napoli in the “Fruili”.
Mario Balotelli (AC Milan): Super “Mario” was in mood for football today, as helped Milan to a 5th consecutive win, scoring with a header and brilliantly assisting the other two goals.
