Serie A Team Of The Week
GK – Gigi Buffon (Juventus): A crucial penalty save & multiple stops to keep Juve alive till the last gasp , where they managed to came victorious after a difficult encounter thanks to Buffon heroics’ !
Defender – Jonathan (Inter): Put on a Maicon-like display against Verona, his assist to Palacio was delightful & managed to crown his game with a goal as well.
Defender – Federico Fernandez (Napoli): Strong and calm, co-operated well with Albiol to neutralize Torino’s dangerous frontline.
Defender – Dusan Basta (Udinese): Good game by the Serbian despite playing on the opposite flank, always pushing forward and his presence in the set pieces annoyed the Romanista as he scored his team’s second with a well taken follow.
Midfielder – Carlos Carmona (Atalanta): What else could you ask of the Chilean?! Dominated the midfield brilliantly, appearing on the score sheet and never failing to impress defensively too.
Midfielder – Simone Missiroli (Sassuolo): A man of the match performance, the creative mind of the Mapei residents, scoring a goal and assisting another to earn his team a 6 pointer win against Bologna.
Midfielder – Keita Balde (Lazio): His speed had no match from the Cagliari men as he ran riot among their defenses, grabbing a goal among the way.
Midfielder – Senad Lulic (Lazio): Made Candreva absence unnoticeable with a strong performance down the flank, scoring his team opener and linking well with the aforementioned Keita Balde.
Forward – German Denis (Atalanta): The “Tank” demolished Sampdoria with a strong performance this weekend, grabbing a goal & contributing another.
Forward – Francesco Totti (Roma): The king is back! Scored the opener and gave the Romans the spirit they lacked lately, his goal dictation to Strootman was a true class of a team’s captain!
Forward – Antonio Cassano (Parma): “Fantantonio” did what he does best, frustrating his ex-teams, this time his victim was the much troubled Milan, with a well taken brace and troublesome to the Rossonerri’s defense.
