Premier League champions Chelsea have completed the signing of Augsburg defender Baba Rahman for a fee of £17.5m approximately, as per reports. After watching Brazilian left-back Filipe Luis return to former La Liga giants Atletico Madrid in the current transfer window, Blues’ boss Jose Mourinho has been looking to add a high-quality replacement for the left-back.
Baba’s agent, Sascha Empacher confirmed to German newspaper Bild: “It is only the clubs that have to find an agreement. We on our side are agreed.”
The 21 years old superstar has been quite impressive and was wanted by a number of big European clubs after an impressive season in Germany last season with Augsburg. He will be Chelsea’s second major signing of this window, with first being Falcao who was signed in a loan deal.
