Scouting For Arsenal: These 3 Promising Youngsters Are Worth The Gamble

Although the Gunners may have smashed their transfer record in August spending over £40m on Mesut Ozil, the progression and development of future stars remains a large part of the Arsenal philosophy, meaning that we may see one or two youngsters join the Arsenal ranks in the new year.

So here are three possible youngsters that we think might Arsene Wenger should look to bring to the Emirates come this January.

Fabian Schar

Swiss right-back Fabian Schar may only be 21-years old, but he has already announced himself as a starter for FC Basel and impressed on the international stage with Switzerland. After 2 stellar performances against London rivals Chelsea in the Champions League, he may have just moved up the list of priority signings Wenger has at The Emirates. It is believed that the former FC Wil 1900 man may be available for around £5m (according to this report from Metro), but with Borussia Dortmund thought to be closing in and Inter Milan having an eye on the player as well (According to this report from Guardian), Arsenal must move quickly if they are going to snap the young defender up, though it is more likely he will wait until after the world cup this summer to decide his future.
