Arsenal are trying a summer scoop of £2million rated Sardar Azmoun from Rubin Kazan. The 19-year old termed as the ‘Iranian Messi’ has shown the Russian Premier League of his potential.

The youngest Iranian ever to play in Europe, Sardar Azmoun made his debut in a Europa League match against Jagodina in the 73rd minute in a 1-0 victory for Rubin Kazan. Sardar made his League debut on October 6, 2013 in a 5-1 victory against Anzhi Makhachkala. He marked his debut with a goal and an assist. In 11 appearances, Sardar Azmoun has played 489 minutes and has a tally of 2 goals and 2 assists, which accounts for a goal or an assist every 122 minutes, which are pretty prolific for a youngster who’s just 19. Azmoun has been very consistent for Iran Under 20 National Team, with 19 goals in 17 appearances, hence nick named ‘Iranian Messi.’

Azmoun’s playing style is very impressive. His comparison to Messi is because of his agility and dribbling ability. He stands at 183 cm tall, which is a pretty good height for a striker, and has shown his ability with the ball skills he has for a youngster. He has the acceleration and agility to beat defenders and has an amazing skillset for a 19 year old. Great on the turn and powerful shots from either feet, Azmoun can reap huge benefits under a coach like Arsene Wenger who likes to develop players and has always proved that he has an “eye for an attacking player”.

Azmoun can add to the amazing array of young players Arsene Wenger likes to buy as he looks like an exciting prospect. His main asset is his natural ability to play with both his feet. Scouts have been monitoring Azmoun for a long time as AC Milan and Juventus were also reportedly interested in buying him, but as strong rumours go by, Azmoun has already been approached by Arsenal.

Azmoun has stated that he’s open to a move to any big club. When asked about Arsenal, he said it would be like a “dream come true”. He also said that Arsenal scouts did meet him.
