Scouting For Antonio Conte – 3 Possible Players Chelsea Should Target In January

Matteo Darmian (Manchester United):

Though not a move that can easily happen, Chelsea, have their eyes on Manchester United outcast Matteo Darmian for a move this January. The Italian full-back has not been able to impress the new manager at United and has not started a single game in the league for the side. He is up for sale in January with a number of Italian clubs vying for his signature but Conte wants a reunion with his Italian colleague and wants to add him to his squad to improve his defense. Darmian is a decent player who needs some game time to prove himself and though Mourinho is not ready to sell to a direct rival, he can be a top-class addition to the squad if Conte can get his hands on him.

Michael Keane (Burnley):

Creating waves in England with his superb performances week in week out for Sean Dyche’s side, Michael Keane is now one of the top transfer targets for Chelsea. The 23-year old is a strong, smart center half who belongs to the league and it is understood that he is tipped off as a replacement for club skipper John Terry. Having also received a call for the national side, Keane is at the top of his game early in his career and taking him to the club in January and slowly getting him used to the club to dump the responsibilities on him from the start of the next season will be a decent move for the Blues. Surely, he is a defender Conte cannot afford to let go in January.
