Scout Report of Donyell Malen who is a Liverpool and Arsenal target

According to a report in Mirror, Liverpool and Arsenal are in the race to sign PSV striker Donyell Malen. Italian side AC Milan are also in the reckoning to sign him.

As per another report in Mirror, the Gunners have been taking a close look at the £50m-rated Malen, who they offloaded for just £500,000 to PSV two years back.

Malen has been in good form for some time now for the Dutch side. For that reason, they believe he is worth 100 times more than the amount Arsenal offloaded him for. (h/t Mirror)

Along with the Gunners and Liverpool, no less than 45 clubs have asked PSV to keep informed about the progress of the player in terms of possible transfer in the future. (h/t Mirror)

Scout Report – Donyell Malen

Donyell Malen is a versatile forward, who prefers to play as a centre-forward but is capable of operating in wide areas as a winger on either side.

The Netherlands international has been in sumptuous form for PSV, scoring 11 goals and assisting four of them in 14 games in all competitions so far this season.

In terms of his attributes, Malen has incredible to trouble any defence. He is very strong on the ball and has good dribbling skills to go past defenders in a flash.

The Dutchman is physically strong, has a good shoot in him and is generally lethal in front of goal. He is one of those strikers who can drop deep and then spin behind the defender with pace to create different angles to trouble the opposition.

Therefore, it has to be said that Donyell Malen is some player who is progressing rapidly week-on-week. He is now one of the established players in the Dutch league and we shouldn’t be surprised if he is bagged up by one of the big clubs in the future.
