Scout Report: Find Out Why Arsenal And Liverpool Are Interested In This English Winger

Newcastle might have had a tumultuous season, yet again, thanks to the prevails of Alan Pardew and him leaving the club after doing so much for them, often cash-strapped and having to sell off his best players, it might come as a surprise that they actually do have some good young players coming in through the system at the club.

John Carver might be in a tight spot with him having to deal with a club that has more ups and downs than politicians on debates but he does have a great player in Rolando Aarons. According to the latest reports, Top English Clubs including Arsenal and Liverpool are tracking England U20s winger.

A bright winger with a bright future

Rolando Aarons was signed by Newcastle after he was released from his hometown club Bristol Rovers and while he spent a lot of time in the reserves, this season he just exploded onto the scene during preseason, the 19-year-old surprised Alan Pardew at that time when he was playing out of his skin and Pardew predicted that this season could be huge for the young English winger.

Although he did start the Premier League season well, it has been hampered by lot of injuries which have limited his appearances to only 5 this season, nevertheless he has scored twice in those 5 games and if he stays relatively injury free, he could develop into something special.

The winger is very speedy down the wing, something that seems to be a requirement for most footballers this season but Aarons is extremely quick even by winger standards. He does have good ability to cross well, again something that is needed in a winger but seems to be a dying art of the game, the ability to put in a good cross and Aarons likes to hug the by line and try to deliver the ball.

This ability of Aarons running down the by-line to deliver the cross is something that seems to have died down a bit, most of the time we hear about wingers who love to cut in and try to penetrate the box. Aarons is not in that mould and is an old style winger, fast, tricky and possessing a great delivery of the ball

Aarons is strong as well, a quality that is a prerequisite to survive in the tough world of the Premier League, which is something the youngster, has worked on this season, he hasn’t bulked up but he has gotten a lot of balance on his side. If his development continues as much as it has in the past 12 months, Newcastle fans would love the sight of Aarons as he makes more appearances for the club.
