Liverpool Transfer News:

Liverpool Klopp

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is looking to improve the Reds’ game by changing  the existing squad. The Merseyside is looking to sign Southampton’s forward Shane Long, however they will be facing competition from Tottenham for the player.

The Ireland international has hit a decent run of form of late and his energy and pace could suit either team’s pressing game. Still seems unlikely, though. – Reports Irish Daily Star Cited by Telegraph

The Reds will also be competing against United and AC Milan to acquire the services of Ajax winger Anwar El Ghazi. The Merseyside will have to pay around £8m for the Dutchman.

Liverpool are prepared to sign Schalke’s Joel Matip after the end of the season. The 24 year old defender is in the last six months of his contract with Schalke and is ready for a fresh challenge in his career.

On the other hand, Klopp is ready to let go of Adam Bogdan who joined the club just last summer from Bolton. Bogdan failed to capitalize when the chance was presented to him, and the error prone goalkeeper has lost his manager’s faith as a result. With Danny Ward available for selection, Mirror has reported that Jurgen Klopp is prepared to let the keeper go this January, if anyone wants him.
