Rugby Star Jerry Flannery To Coach Arsenal

Arsenal appointed FORMER Ireland rugby star Jeremiah Paul Jerry Flannery as their new strength and conditioning coach.

Jerry Flannery who played at hooker for Munster and Ireland, retired from Rugby in March 2012 due to injury problems. Flannery spent some time at Arsenal during his rehabilitation from an injury. He then completed his masters in sports performance at the University of Limerick.

Arsenal’s medical and fitness department already have many Irish staffs. Their head of sports medicine, the club doctor, one of the physios and a two of the coaching staffs are all from Ireland. Jerry Flannery is now the latest addition to that ever growing community.
