Predicted Celtic Lineup To Face Dundee FC In Scottish Premiership

Celtic will look to strengthen their hold at the top of the Scottish Premiership when they go up against Dundee FC on Wednesday night at the Celtic Park.

Having crashed out of the UEFA Europa League, courtesy of a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Zenit St. Petersburg in the round of 32 second leg fixture last midweek, Brendan Rodgers’ men bounced back by defeating Aberdeen 2-0 away from home. The manager will be hoping that his side shows the same spirit and determination on Wednesday and makes light work of the visitors.

Team News

Celtic will be without a host of players including Dedryck Boyata, Patrick Roberts, Leigh Griffiths, Stuart Armstrong, Craig Gordon, Jonny Hayes, Marvin Compper and Nir Bitton. Mikael Lustig, who was sent off against Aberdeen, will be suspended for the match.

Probable Celtic XI

Manager: Brendan Rodgers

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Dorus de Vries (GK)

With regular keeper Craig Gordon still out on the sidelines, Dorus de Vries is expected to continue between the sticks for the champions.

Anthony Ralston (RB)

With Mikael Lustig out due to suspension, the young Anthony Ralston who is fit again, should start the game at right-back.

Jack Hendry (CB)

The January signing did not start on Sunday but could be set for an appearance against Dundee FC this midweek.

Kieran Tierney

Kristoffer Ajer (CB)

The young defender has been showing great composure at the back and is impressing everyone with his displays. Should start once again.

Kieran Tierney (LB)

The young left-back was one of the scorers for the Hoops on Sunday, against the Dons. Will want to put in another impressive performance in the midweek.

Scott Brown (CM)

The club captain is a highly influential player on the pitch for the reigning champions, with his ability to break play up in the middle and launch attacks. A definite starter.

Olivier Ntcham (CM)

The French midfielder has grown into an important player for the Bhoys, in his debut season, with some solid displays. Did not have the best of the games at the weekend and will want to rectify that.

James Forrest (RW)

The Scottish winger has been Celtic’s in-form man when it comes to domestic competitions. Will look to make a difference from the right-wing on Wednesday.

Callum McGregor

Callum McGregor (CAM)

The Scotland international did not start against the Dons at the Pittodrie but should replace Australian playmaker Tom Rogic in the No.10 role.

Charly Musonda (LW)

The on-loan Chelsea winger has been in and out of the Hoops side. Should get a run out on the left, after Scott Sinclair’s poor display against Aberdeen.

Moussa Dembele (ST)

Leading the line for the Premiership leaders should be Frenchman Moussa Dembele. The striker scored against Aberdeen last time out and will look to be the difference maker once again.
