Rodgers To Make 4 Changes – Strongest 4-2-3-1 Celtic Line-Up To Face Hamilton Academical

Predicted Celtic Line-up To Face Hamilton Academical In The Scottish Premiership

Celtic will look to extend their unbeaten run to 69 games, when they face off against Hamilton Academical at the Celtic Park, on Wednesday night.

The Hoops survived a scare to their historic run in domestic competitions this past weekend, when they were held to a 2-2 draw away at Hibernian. Manager Brendan Rodgers will be hoping to put in a much-improved display when his side take on the Accies during the midweek and further extend their lead at the top of the table in the Scottish Premiership.

Team News

Patrick Roberts is ruled out for three months for the Hoops, while there has been no update on the status of Anthony Ralston and Erik Sviatchenko.

Here’s how the Hoops might line up against Hamilton at home on Wednesday:

Manager: Brendan Rodgers

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Craig Gordon (GK)

Was far from his best over the weekend and could have cost his side their unbeaten run in domestic competitions. Will be keen on bouncing back with a clean sheet.

Mikael Lustig (RB)

The Swedish right-back too wasn’t all that great against the Hibs on Sunday and will want to put in a strong display during the midweek.

Dedryck Boyata (CB)

The Belgian centre-half will take his place in the heart of the defence and look to provide a solid platform for his side to build upon.

Kristoffer Ajer

Kristoffer Ajer (CB)

There may be a change on the cards at the back, as Rodgers might look to rest Jozo Simunovic, handing youngster Kristoffer Ajer a start on Wednesday.

Kieran Tierney (LB)

A constant fixture in the line-up, week in week out, the 20-year old Kieran Tierney should resume duties as Celtic’s first-choice left-back.

Scott Brown (CM)

The captain did not enjoy the best of the games this past weekend. He will be hoping to put that behind and put on a commanding display in the midweek.

Stuart Armstrong (CM)

Having been benched for the previous game, the Scottish international could be back in the starting XI, replacing Olivier Ntcham.

James Forrest (RW)

Has been a bright spark going forward for the Hoops and in the absence of Patrick Roberts, he should start on the right flank.

Scott Sinclair

Tom Rogic (CAM)

The Australian attacking midfielder might be in line for a start on Wednesday, with Callum McGregor the man to make way.

Scott Sinclair (LW)

The Englishman was at the double over the weekend and will look to carry that form ahead with another impactful display against the Accies.

Moussa Dembele (ST)

Having only made an appearance from the bench against the Hibs, the dynamic French forward should get the nod ahead of Paris Saint-Germain loanee Odsonne Edouard.
