Richarlison As No.10, Deeney To Start – Predicted 3-5-1-1 Watford Line-up To Face Tottenham Hotspur

Predicted Watford Line-up To Face Tottenham In The Premier League

Marco Silva’s men fell to a depressing defeat at the hands of Manchester United, who put four past them on a night which could have seen a completely different result. The Hornets put up a fight late in the game but a wonder goal from Jesse Lingard meant that they were stranded at 8th place in the points table.

Things will not get any easy for them this weekend, as they welcome Tottenham Hotspur to the Vicarage Road, who are fresh from a loss to Leicester City. Spurs will go all out for a victory but Silva can surely dent their hopes at the top of the table.

Team News

Craig Cathcart, Nathaniel Chalobah, Isaac Success and Younes Kaboul remain the long-term absentees for the Hornets. Will Hughes picked up a niggle in the previous game but is expected to be fit for this game.

Formation: 3-5-1-1

Manager: Marco Silva

GK – Heurelho Gomes

Let in four goals against Manchester United but remains the first choice for Silva and should keep his place between the sticks.

CB – Adrian Mariappa

Was troubled all game by the Man United attack and will hope to have a better outing this time around.

Adrian Mariappa

CB – Christian Kabasele

Starting at the heart of the backline should be Kabasele, who needs to put in a better shift against Spurs.

CB – Miguel Britos

With Prodl not at his best, Britos should start this game on the left-hand side of the defence, pushing Kabasele to the middle.

RWB – Kiko Femenia

Femenia has cemented his place in the first-team under Silva and is expected to start his third game on the run, this weekend.

CM – Will Hughes

The 22-year old had a torrid time in the previous game but has been in decent form and could be the danger man for Watford in the middle of the park.

CDM – Abdoulaye Doucoure

Starting as the deepest of the midfielders should be Doucoure, who was one of the best players for his side in the embarrassing defeat to Manchester United.

Will Hughes

CM – Tom Cleverly

The former Manchester United man had a terrible time against his former side and could be the weak link that Spurs would want to exploit in this game.

LWB – Marvin Zeegelaar

Up against the likes of Eriksen and co, Zeegelaar, who has been effective in recent games, will have his work cut out in this crunch clash.

CAM – Richarlison

The Brazilian put in a decent shift in the previous game and needs to be kept quiet if Spurs are to take anything from this game.

ST – Troy Deeney

Though Gray has been decent, Deeney put on a show after coming off the bench in the mid-week and should be used in the starting XI this weekend.

Here is how Watford might line up:
