Review Of The Football Pink Magazine

Share

This is something new here! Amongst a plethora of blogs and magazines out there, it is never really an end to read about football. The Football Pink is the latest publication to bring together the works of some excellent writers and bloggers.

Initiated by Mark Godfrey, one of the contributors to Soccersouls, it gives a collection of articles which talks about tales from the Football League’s centenary celebrations and Irish centre backs to football punditry and the Estadio do Maracanã on the agenda.

Along with Mark, the likes of Dominic Smith, Pete Spencer have given their best to give the readers a unique experience, a rightful mash-up of 21 well written articles.

After an Ally Moncrieff’s “Winning is overrated”, a slightly controversial article to say the least, Pete Spencer brings talks about John Beck, the creative midfielder who played for the likes of QPR, Converty City and Fulham through the 70’s and 80’s – stuff today’s youngsters should spend time to look into.

And talking about relishing the past, Mark Godfrey’s “Games of our lives: England vs. West Germany. July 4th 1990″ and ”When football came home: England and Euro’96″ by Jamie Allen will give readers something they might have not heard off.

From an Irish perspective, Brian Strahan takes an interesting look at the history of Irish centre backs from the beginning of the Jack Charlton era in 1986. This first part goes up to 1994 and the World Cup qualifying campaign.

However, the one article that caught our eye was “Who would be a referee” by Stuart Howard-Cofield – a breath taking article that requires a little time to get it into your system.

So to say it in a sentence, The Football Pink offers you a flamboyant of articles and for its first edition, we shall give a headup to Mark Godfrey for his efforts. You can grab your copy of The Football Pink for just £1.49 and downloadable from Amazon for Kindle or Kindle app.

You can also check out The Football Pink via the website and Twitter account.
