Anthony Martial joined Manchester United in September 2015 from AS Monaco, at an initial amount of £36m. However, a wistleblower website Football leaks revealed, what according to them is, a contract between both the clubs on transfer of the player to Manchester United.
The contract, on the other hand, reveals the total amount of the transfer is 50 million Euros and it includes various ad ons.
The document reveals that United will be paying the fee of £38m in two installments in the first 12 months of Martial joining the Old Trafford. Further United will have to pay £7.6m when Martial scores his first 25 goals for the club.
However it does not end here, he document further reveals that United will need to pay the same amount once Martial appears in his 25th national games and if he gets nominated for Ballon d’Or.
This concludes that United will be paying not just £38m for the player but an staggering amount of £60.8m for the Frenchman.
