Diego Godin Godin Wants To Stay With Atletico Madrid
Manchester United target Diego Godin has revealed that he wants to stay at Atletico Madrid and not interested in any transfer moves at the moment.
Diego Godin is contracted with the club until 2018 but he has a £28.5million buy-out clause in his current contract, which can be easily met by any top clubs like Manchester United.
However, Godin said that he remains committed to the La Liga Champions.
He said,
“Time will tell and it’s hard to know where I’ll be in the future, but I’d like to remain with Atletico for many years.
“Right now I feel I’m having the best time of my career and see retirement as a long way off.
“But it’s true I’m attracted by returning to my country and I’d like to go back there at some point, to return the affection everyone has shown towards me during my career.”
Godin has been a key player for Atletico in the last few years and has helped them to win Copa Del Rey, La Liga and UEFA Europa League in last few seasons.
