According to many online sources, Arsenal are just inches away from signing Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic. The Montenegrin attacker has been linked with Arsenal for more than a year now. Wenger, with his 70 million transfer kitty believes Jovetic would be a perfect addition to the squad and he will certainly increase Arsenal’s chances of winning a trophy that was eluding them for last eight years.
Jovetic is an all round striker with good deft touches and decent movement in the box. He has good passing and creativity too. Jovetic is more like a ‘False Nine’ who can shift positions with players such as Theo Walcott, Santi Cazorla and Lukas Podolski during the game. He will definitely bring new fluidity to this Arsenal squad.
Only thing that is stopping Stevan Jovetic’s proposed move to Arsenal is their champions league qualification. But it’s all in their hands, if they win their next two games, they will qualify for the Europe’s elite competition.
Another question is can Arsenal meet Fiorentina’s financial demands? Yes they can as they got a financial boost with new television and shirt deals which enables Arsenal to spend without selling, provided they finish at least 4th.
