Arsenal fans can feel bit safe now as SkySports, one of the most credible sources for transfer news has reported that the North London side are very close to sign Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona.
The report also suggested that Arsenal are expected to announce the deal this weak. Arsenal will pay around £30million for the services of the Chilean star.
Sanchez had a good last season with Barcelona, scoring 19 and assisting 10 times in La Liga. But with Barcelona linked with Luis Suarez of Liverpool, Sanchez’s time at the Catalan club may come to an end this Summer.
Arsenal are also very close to seal another deal. Newcastle United’s Full-back Mathieu Debuchy is about to join the gunners. Reportedly, medical is already done and only official confirmation pending.
If both the deal happens, it will be a much needed relief for Arsenal fans, who are normally made to wait till deadline day to see some good players joining the ranks at Emirates.
