Arsenal’s former academy boss Liam Brady has revealed that English star Raheem Sterling almost joined the gunners before signing for Liverpool.
Raheem SterlingSterling was strongly linked with Arsenal in 2010, but Brady pulled out of the deal in the last minute.
Brady told the Irish Examiner,
‘I think I could have got Raheem Sterling if I’d really gone for him,’
‘But I didn’t go through with that one [in the end].’
Liverpool got him for around £600,000 compensation fee and now, he is one of the top young talents in the premier league.
In the past, Arsenal have missed some great players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Yaya Toure (both had a trial with Arsenal).
