Report: Norwich City to submit £12m bid for Leeds United’s Kalvin Phillips

Leeds United News: Norwich City are set to submit £12 million for Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips, according to The Daily Mail.

Kalvin Phillips

The 23-year-old has been one of the positives throughout the season for the Whites, despite failing to secure promotion.

Having already booked their place in the Premier League next season, the Canaries look to add reinforcements to their side by bringing Phillips. He has also been linked with Southampton.

Phillips played more than 40 games after earning his position as a regular under Marcelo Bielsa.

The deep-lying pivot has scored a goal and provided three assists in the process, which includes the dramatic equalizer against Middlesbrough midway through the season.

He successfully made it to the Championship team of the season and was elected the player of the year by Yorkshire Evening Post.

Will Leeds hold on to Phillips?

The Elland Road club is prepping to extend Phillips’ contract but hasn’t finalized a solution till now.

The English midfielder has had second thoughts about his future, given that his side will once again play in the Championship next season.

Meanwhile, Bielsa’s future is also in the air, though he would love to continue as the manager next season.
