Report: North London Rivals Tottenham Look To Hijack Arsenal’s £24.8m Move For Superstar Striker

Reports now suggest that Tottenham Hotspur will look to hijack Arsenal’s £24.8m move for Porto striker Jackson Martinez. Arsene Wenger’s side were in need of more attacking options in the summer as they look to challenge for more titles next season, especially the Premier League and the Champions League.

Spurs are looking to add more players to their squad as well and believe that the Colombian forward is the right man for them.

The Gunners were quite close to completing a deal, as it seemed for the 28-year-old attacker. However, their north London rivals are now keen on stealing their target from them. A deal could be completed within the next couple of weeks and the player could be moving to White Hart Lane soon, according to Fichajes.net.

Martinez has a total of 89 appearances for the Portuguese club, scoring 67 goals till date. Whether he now signs for the Gunners or completes a deal with Tottenham, remains to be seen.
