According to the latest reports, Lyon midfielder Clement Grenier is believed to be waiting for Arsenal to make a bid for him so that he can complete his dream move to the premier league. Grenier’s impressive ball skills and playmaking abilities earned him comparisons with legendary Zinadine Zidane by the French media.
Lyon boss Hubert Fournier openly admitted that they are ready to sell their influential star if the right bid comes in their way.
He said in a recent interview,
“We have already agreed with certain players that they can leave if a good offer presents itself. For the others, it is out of the question to speak about a departure.
“For those who are allowed to leave, there is Clement Grenier, who asked us at the end of the season so that he could find a club to make a progression in terms of footballing level,”
Reportedly, Wenger is a great fan of the 23 year old French star but with the number of playmakers Arsenal have, any bid this Summer looks very unlikely.
Other premier league clubs like Newcastle, Southampton and Everton are also interested in signing the Lyon midfielder.
