According to Daily Star, Manchester City are plotting a move to steal Bacary Sagna from their title rivals, Arsenal.
Currently the French right back is on a £60,000-a-week contract with the gunners. Arsenal have offered a new contract for two years with a same salary margin without any upgrade from what he is currently earning.
Now, Manchester City may try to tempt him with a better package. If the move happens, Sagna will be the fifth Arsenal player to join Manchester City in recent years after Clichy Nasri, Toure and Adebayor.
Anyway City are not the only interested party here. French club Monaco are willing to double his earnings as they are ready to offer a £120,000-a-week (after tax) contract.
Arsenal should act fast on this one, otherwise they will lose yet another classy player to a rich club.
