Report: Luiz Gustavo To Decide On His Arsenal Move Tomorow

Luiz Gustavo’s agent Roger Wittmann revealed that his client will make a decision on his future day after Brazil’s friendly with Switzerland on Wednesday.


Arsenal are believed to be the favorites to land the 26 year old Brazilian midfielder as rumors states that Bayern have already accepted Arsenal’s bid for the enforcer.

Roger Wittmann said ( quoted by Sky Sports),

“He will make a statement on his future on Thursday,”

Last week, Gustavo himself hinted at Arsenal move by praising them and also the premier league.

He said,

“The Premier League is a great competition,” Gustavo said on Monday. “Arsenal have a lot of tradition. I need a team that has space to play.

“It’s a delicate situation. I’m looking for the best option, the best decision.

“I am going to have to play, to stay in shape and carry on being called up [for Brazil].”

So what actually will happen in the reports does come true? Gustavo would be a valuable asset for the Gunners. At 26, the defensive midfielder is in the prime of his career and further he needs to prove his worth to Felipe Scolari in order to secure a place in the National side before the 2014 Worldcup. To add to that, as a tough-tackling midfielder Gustavo could be a perfect replacement for Mikel Arteta who Arsenal solely were dependent to do the defensive duties.
