REPORT: Italian Forward’s Agent Hints Arsenal Move

Earlier this week, Arsenal was linked with £17 million rated Napoli forward Lorenzo  Insigne. Reportedly, the gunners are planning to make an official bid after the world cup. Now, Insigne’s agent encouraged the gunners in their pursuit to sign Insigne, after admitting that his client is honored by Arsenal interest.

Otaiano told Tutto Mercato,

“We take into account the praising reports that [Arsene] Wenger has given about the player,”

“We are honoured that a club like Arsenal could have Lorenzo on their wish list.

“However, from here to take it to the next level, that is a possible transfer, there is a huge mountain in between named ‘Napoli’.

“The club consider him without a shadow of a doubt as one of their cardinal players for their ambitious project.

“Hence, as of today, I don’t see that there can be any further developments unless Arsenal speak to Napoli directly and Napoli change their view on Lorenzo’s role here.”

Insigne had a decent season on club level, scoring 6 times and also bagging 7 assists in all competitions, which enabled him to gain a ticket to Brazil. The Versatile forward can play both in wings and also as a central striker, which makes him even more valuable in the transfer market.
