According to the latest reports, Arsenal are preparing a bid for Shakhtar Donetsk play-maker Douglas Costa.
The Brazilian has refused to return to Shakhtar because of security threats caused by the political unrest in Ukraine at the moment. Despite the club’s request, Costa wants to move away from the country. Premier league seems to be a possible destination with Arsenal plotting a bid for the player.
These reports also suggest that Arsenal will offer €20million for the talented Brazilian and it should be more than enough to tempt Shakhtar to cash in on the unsettled player.
Costa is a versatile player who can play either as an attacking player or as a striker. According to the scout reports from Sky Sports,
“Douglas Costa loves to play just behind the forward-line and loves to beat people with his exceptional skill and close control, although his passing is also very good.
He does have an eye for goal, but his shooting can be wayward at times, and claims of him being a free-kick specialist are yet to come to fruition on the pitch.”
