According to the latest reports from Spain, Barcelona are planning an audacious bid to sign Mesut Ozil from Arsenal in Summer.
These reports also suggest that the troubled La Liga champions are ready to offer two of their star players in part-exchange for the German international.
Outspoken agent Francois Gallardo, who is known for leaking transfer deals, revealed the news on El Chiringuito de jugones.
“There are two players that Barcelona would trade for Ozil. I only know one name, the other I do not know. Arsenal wants this player. This is Pedro,”
So, who is the other player? May be it’s former Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas who is having a difficult time with the Catalan club and may want to return to the North London club.
Even though Arsenal selling their record signing just after one season doesn’t seem realistic, this swap deal (if involving Cesc) has that tempting factor that can convince Arsenal board to listen to the Barcelona negotiators.
Even if Arsenal agree for the deal, Mesut being a Real Madrid fan, it is very unlikely that we will see him in Barcelona colours.
