According to the latest reports, Arsenal are ready to sell their star play-maker Santi Cazorla if a right bid comes in their way. Arsenal’s valuation of the player is around £15 million. La Liga champions Atletico Madrid are the favorites to sign the Spanish Playmaker.
Cazorla played 31 times last season and also scored a crucial goal in FA cup final that ended Arsenal’s trophyless run. But with the latest addition of Alexis Sanchez and with Walcott recovering well from injury, Cazorla may not be a guaranteed starter anymore. Even his position as an attacking midfielder will be taken up by Mesut Ozil.
Other premier league title contenders Chelsea and Manchester City have better squad depth than the gunners. And considering the severe number of injuries Arsenal players suffer each season, selling a player of such caliber is not a good idea at the moment.
In other Arsenal news, AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli may join the North London club in coming weeks if his £5m-a-year wage demands are met.
