Latest rumors from Portugal suggests that Arsenal are preparing a bid for Benfica winger Nicolas Gaitan.
Since the pursuit for Gonzalo Higuain is put on hold for now as Madrid are not willing to sell anyone until they get their new manager, Arsenal turn their focus on the Gaitan who helped his team to reach Europa League final last season where they lost to Chelsea.
Manchester United are also interested in the player but it looks like Arsenal are in pole position to get Gaitan’s signature. Even though Benfica are adamant that they would not sell the Argentinian unless any club meet his release clause (£40million), it is expected that bid more that £20million will be enough to lure the player to Emirates.
Arsenal are also linked with some big names like Cesc Fabregas, Wayne Rooney and Marouane Fellaini this Summer, as sources believe that Wenger has a serious amount of money available to spend in the market.
