With the summer transfer window reaching its final stage, Arsenal are probably the most hardworking club in the market. They are currently linked with a flurry of players from all around the globe. One such player is Juventus’ Paul Pogba.
According to the latest reports (Sports Direct News), Arsenal are about a make a £20m bid for the midfield enforcer Paul Pogba. The 20 year-old versatile midfielder moved to Serie A champions last season from Manchester United. Even though he was praised for his performances for the old lady, he is still not a regular starter. Such is the depth and experience of Juventus’ midfield. So, he may get tempted to move to Arsenal with the promise of regular first team spots.
But it is very unlikely that Juventus will let go of their rising star unless a mega bid comes in their way. Antonio Conte already mentioned that Pogba is a key player in his plans for this season. It is believed that Conte had told club’s top management that Pogba and Arturo Vidal should not be sold under any circumstances.
Arsenal are in a state of mini crisis at the moment. With injuries and lack of depth haunting their premier league start, they are having a tough time in luring any top players to Emirates. So, the question is why would Pogba leave a formidable squad like Juventus and join struggling Arsenal?
On other Arsenal news, Gunners are closing in on Newcastle United star midfielder Yohan Cabaye.
