According to the latest reports, Barcelona are willing to loan out Alex Song this Summer and Arsenal are considered as the favorites to land the Cameron international.
Reportedly, Luis Enrique, Barcelona’s new coach has informed Alex Song that he is a free to leave the club in this transfer window.
Alex Song was signed by Barcelona for £15million in 2012 but the ex-Arsenal midfielder struggled to make a mark with the Catalan side. A move away from Barcelona may give some hope to re-ignite his football career.
Alex Song may not be as good as Sami Khedira (also linked with Arsenal) but Arsenal can keep him as a backup plan in-case they fail to sign a world class defensive midfielder before the closing of transfer window.
