Latest reports suggest that Arsenal are also very close to finalize a deal for Columbian goal keeper David Ospina this week. He will be signed to fill the gap left by Fabianski and Mannone. Arsenal believe that Ospina can give good competition to their current no 1 Wojciech Szczesny.
Ospina has only 12 months left on his present contract with French club Nice, so he will be available for a cheap transfer fee of around £3 million.
Arsenal are set to announce their second major signing of the Summer as Mathieu Debuchy is about to join the gunners from Newcastle United. If everything goes as per the plans, both Ospina and Debuchy will be confirmed as Arsenal players by this week.
Arsenal are also interested in bringing in a new defensive midfielder with big names like Sami Khedira and Lars Bender are heavily linked with a move to the North London club.
