Report: Arsenal Striker To Be Sold This Week

Arsenal have successfully reduced their wage bill by selling/releasing all the flop players including Chamakh, Arshavin, Gervinho and few others. But still there is one player left. He is none other than Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner, who was once tipped as a future star currently struggling to find a proper club.

Latest report reveals that he and his agent held talks with newly promoted Crystal Palace and everything seems to have gone well. Bendtner who had spent last two years on loan with Sunderland and Serie A champions Juventus, failed to earn a permanent move to both the sides.

During the window, Hamburg, Eintracht Frankfurt and Hull City tried negotiating a deal with Bendtner, but his wage demands acted as a road block to any possible deal. Now it is believed that Bendtner is ready to cut down his wage demands in order to make a permanent move before the window shuts close.

Daily Mirror reported that Crystal Palace held talks with Bendtner at a central London hotel and is very close to agreeing personal terms.

Palace manager, Ian Holloway has already signed one ex-Gunner Marouane Chamakh who moved on a free transfer.  Crystal Palace have also signed Dwight Gayle from Peterborough for £8.5m earlier in the window. With the addition of Bendtner, Ian Holloway believe his team will have enough depth & quality to handle hectic premier league schedule.
