Report: Arsenal Have £120.6m Surplus Cash To Spend

Arsenal have announced their financial figures for a term (till November 30 2013), they have a cash reserve of £120.6 million in the bank.

These figures suggest that Wenger had enough money to buy a good player in January but he decided not to buy. Schalke’s Julian Draxler was heavily linked with the gunners in January but reportedly, Schalke refused to part ways with the German wonderkid.

Arsenal chairman Sir Chips Keswick believes Arsenal can do well in all departments (including transfers).

He said,

“When I was appointed chairman last summer, there was good reason to believe that the hard work which has been put in, by many people across the club, over recent years had created the momentum for a successful season in every aspect of our activities,”

“Thus far that optimism has been well-founded. We believe we are in a strong position to take the club forward both in the short-term and beyond and to deliver future on-field success.”

Arsenal finance will get only better as they have secured a mega-deal with PUMA. So most probably, Wenger will sign a super star again in Summer with names like Draxler and Balotelli already being linked with the gunners.
