Report: Arsenal Could Lose One Of Their Pre-season Heros As Club Meets Player’s Agent

It is reported that AC Milan are looking to sign, Costa Rican forward Joel Campbell on a season long loan deal and have sent their scouts to watch him play in the Emirates cup on Saturday.

Campbell was not only impressive against Benfica, he got his name on the score sheet as Arsenal thrashed their Portuguese counterparts with a 5-1 scoreline. Arsene Wenger claimed that he would like to keep the forward at the Emirates in his post -match interview,

“I like Campbell, he is good on the ball, creative. There have been no offers for him and there is no reason to go. I want to keep him.”

But Italain sources claim that AC Milan have contacted the players’ agent offering regular first team football for the 22-year old. However, there has been little information on this, and it is believed that Campbell might reject the offer.

Following his Worldcup stints with Costa Rica and his impressive loan spell with Greek Club Olympiacos, Campbell was expected to be a huge part of the Gunners squad this season, but if the deal does go through, it will be a huge blow for both the player and the club.

What do you guys think about the move? A regular starting berth with the struggling Italian giants or the substitute appearances that he would get at the Emirates? What is the best for the development of the player?
