Real Madrid Make £37m Bid for British player, Arsenal To Play Their Trump Card On Barcelona For Villa, Sahin Welcomed At Dortmund

Sahin to Dortmund:

Nuri Sahin wanted by his former employers Borussia Dortmund. The German outfit are willing to Sahin a return to the club if he became available at the right price says Borussia director of sport Michael Zorc. The player who is having a horrible time since he left Dortmund, is reportedly unhappy at his new club Liverpool also. The midfielder has been played out of his natural defensive midfielder role. Talking about Sahin, Zorc said:

“Of course we are following Nuri’s career – he’s one of our lads,” Zorc told the Bild newspaper.  We said to him back then (when he left), if Nuri says that he wants nothing other than to play in Dortmund, then we will deal with the issue. But it has got to be manageable, and nothing has changed in that regard.”

Dortmund have said they would not sell attacking midfielder Mario Gotze under any conditions.

“Mario has a long-term contract with us and he feels very happy here with his family and friends in Dortmund, There is nothing that suggests that will change. He is 20 and, consequently, far from reaching the end of his development.”

Real Madrid make £37m bid for British player:

Real Madrid have reportedly made a massive £37million bid to try and lure Welsh international Gareth Bale away from White Hart Lane. A local Spanish newspaper are now reporting that an offer has been made and claim the offer was around 45million Euros.

Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas dismissed Real’s chances of landing Bale last week and insisted it was completely impossible that the lightning quick midfielder would be allowed to leave in the January window. However with an offer like that placed on the table Andre Villas Boas may consider the offer, although he will have to react quickly if he wants to find a replacement to strengthen his squad going into the second half of the season.

Arsenal to play a thrum card on Barcelona:

Arsenal who are in desperate need of a striker are planning to play a trump card on Spanish giants Barcelona according to the Daily mail. Arsenal plan using the fact they are still owed money from the transfers of Alex Song and Cesc Fabregas to help finance a possible deal.

With move for Demba Ba almost out of the way and long term target Huntelaar also pledged a contract with Schalke, Arsenal are left with no choice other than the 31 year old Spaniard who will be an immediate impact with the club
