Chelsea’s new manager is looking for midfield general who will be able to dictate the game and after last year’s performance it is no surprise that the name topping that list is none other than N’Golo Kante from Leicester City.
However the Blues have received a major blow as Real Madrid too have began to show interest in the Frenchman. Speaking to AS, Zidane revealed that he sees Kante as someone like Claude Makelele. The 25 year old has been one of the key figures and engine of the Leicester’s title winning squad. Reportedly he has a £20 million contract and that is not something that will be able to stop the approach from Real Madrid.
Chelsea are seriously interested in Kante and the flirtation from Zidane only makes matters complicated for the Blues. Antonio Conte may end up losing Nemanja Matic and Kante would have been an upgrade going by last year’s performance.
