Should Real Madrid Allow This Welsh Speed Merchant To Leave?

There have been a lot of speculations and rumors about Gareth Bale leaving Real Madrid at the end of the season. The speedy Welshman is still the most expensive Football player on the planet but, can Real afford the departure of the player?

A big question to ask which has so many answers for sure. Gareth Bale joined Real Madrid On 1 September 2013 and became the most expensive player of all time. He had a slow start to his new career as he appeared in just 10 full games for the La Liga giants on his debut season and missed most of the games due to injury.

He was then eased into the squad by the second half of the season and not to forget, he scored the goal against their City Rivals Atletico Madrid in that season’s Champions League Final and he became the first Welshman to score a goal in a European Cup/Champions League final.

Well, Real Madrid fans are accused of booing their players and that happened with Bale as he was booed by some section of Madrid’s crowd for being selfish and not passing the ball to Ronaldo.

Gareth Bale has hardly been seen this season as he has been hit by injuries a lot lately. He has appeared in just 19 games for the club this season (in La Liga) in which, he has played just 10 full games and was substituted 7 times.

The Welsh speed merchant has been a key figure in Real Madrid’s attack since his arrival. Due to his pace and footballing vision, he can score goals and can also set them up for his partners.

Bale has scored 15 goals this term in La Liga and has 10 assists to show for. I’m pretty sure that not every player can replace Bale and form such a great partnership with Ronaldo. Ronaldo has pace and is one of the fastest athletes in the world and matching his pace is not an easy task.

Should Real Madrid Allow Bale to Leave? Then, I’d say no. A big no. We all have witnessed how Gareth Bale has developed in times. Starting his career as a Left-Back and eventually becoming the striker and the most expensive player in the sport is surely not an easy task. This requires dedication, this requires the skills which Bale possess.

He has that strong left foot and also a great set piece taker and can score the goals from outside the box very easily. There is a strong indication that the team might lose their wonderboy (James Rodrigues) this summer and if that happens, Real must do everything to keep Bale at their side. He won’t be short of options if he decides to leave because Manchester United are already looking to hunt this player down.

Selling this player might cost Real Madrid a lot of problems in terms of their attacks. Ronaldo and bale had a sour relationship seasons ago but are now enjoying their times at the club. If Bale comes back to his best, he will be an unstoppable force alongside Ronaldo and when Bale plays, the team moves swiftly in the flanks and if not, they face problems. Injuries have made it an annoying season for Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale, but the Welsh international can still make an impact for the team in their hunt for the 11th Champions League Crown.

Real must keep him at all cost  because he is one of the best players they have and giving him a new sensational contract should put an end to all exit talks. Obviously, people put a lot of expectation on a player with the price tag and everything like that, but, once he returns to his full fitness; he can do what he is known for.
